Stellar Apartments is a 54-unit affordable housing development serving families at 50% of the area median income. Ten units are targeted for National Guard Families, and four units have been set aside for families of the VetLIFT program.

All units meet or exceed Earth Advantage Certification, including Energy Star-rated appliances and lighting, windows with high thermal resistance; and fresh-air ventilation systems for indoor spaces.

One of the six apartment buildings reaches Passive House standard as a pilot project to examine its performance compared to a nearly identical neighboring buildings designed to Earth Advantage Standards. The unit is the first affordable multi-family Passive House building in the United States.

The Stellar Apartments were designed by Bergsund Delaney Architecture and Planning. Studio.e had a significant consulting role on this project as certified Passive House experts.
